Only because of the quota: German Gruene Party make incompetent person Minister of Justice
Imagine that a minister of justice has the competence to lead his house, has not produced any scandals or conflicts and has only done his job. Imagine that the justice minister is a white man and with the Gruene. This has become a dangerous undertaking, because the Gruene seem not to care about qualifications and competence, but rather about skin color and gender. This is what happened in the Thuringian state parliament. The justice minister, who has been in office since 2019, is now to be replaced by an incompetent clerk with no professional experience.
The reasoning: he is white, he is male and therefore does not meet a quota.
The Thuringian Prime Minister, Bodo Ramelow of the LINKE, has fired the Minister of Migration, Justice and Consumer Protection Dirk Adams of the Gruene on the insistence and whining of the Greens. Background is a completely idiotic politically correct campaign of the eco-party. The explosive thing about it: Adams doesn’t have to go because he screwed something up, he has to vacate his post because of his skin color and gender.
The black politician Doreen Denstädt, who has neither political experience nor a law degree, has been chosen as his successor for the delicate and complex post. So far, Denstädt has worked as a simple clerk in the police trust office in the Thuringian Ministry of the Interior. She owes her enormous and probably in this form unique career leap in Germany exclusively to her gender and skin color, but not to professional competence.
From the point of view of the Gruene in Thuringia, this step has become necessary because the party leader of the Gruene Bernhard Stengele wanted to enter the state government. The director, Stengele, inherits the voluntarily departing Environment Minister Anja Siegesmund, who will clear her post at the end of January and wants to retire from politics.
Total gasps were caused by the fact that in this case, both Gruene ministers would have been men, which of course would violate party logic. Adams has held the post since 2019 and refused to step down. Only at the urging, whining and howling of his own party did Ramelow feel compelled to dismiss a competent minister. And the Gruene? They cheer and celebrate the fact that their own party comrade has been thrown out of office. In short, they are now hailing the new appointment at the head of the Ministry of Justice with the “importance that the issues of integration and migration have for us Alliance Gruene”.
For three years, Thuringia has been governed by a red-red-green minority government led by the LINKE Party and tolerated by the CDU. The Gruene make up two of ten cabinet members in this government. In the 2019 state election, they only achieved 5.2% of the votes cast, with great difficulty. The next regular state election will be held in the fall of 2024. It is to be hoped that the Thuringians will vote the Gruene out of the state parliament. Behavior of this kind and the motive are not acceptable for a modern government. A government should appoint competent ministers to their posts, not clerks who have never had any contact with the area entrusted to them. Quotas, skin color and gender have no place in a cabinet. Those who want quotas would be better off playing theater and not governing.
