Like mother like daughter: Greta’s mother also hates Israel

She calls for ESC exit for Jewish state

Over 1000 Swedish artists have asked the EBU to exclude Israel from this year’s Eurovision Song Contest (ESC). The mother of Greta Thunberg (21) has also signed the open letter, which was published by the newspaper “Aftonbladet”. The 53-year-old Swedish opera singer Malena Ernman took part in the ESC herself in 2009. At that time, she reached tenth place. She is now also taking part in her daughter Greta’s hatred of Israel.

The EBU’s decision to allow Israel to take part in the competition despite its “brutal warfare in Gaza” is criticized by the artists from the host country of the ESC. But: NOT a word about the massacres by Hamas terrorists, not a word about the hostages or even Israeli victims.

From climate activist to anti-Israel activist

Greta’s mother obviously ticks just like her daughter. Just last week, Greta was surprisingly at the demonstration of the pro-Palestinian alliance “Handala” in Leipzig, where she once again protested against an alleged genocide in the Gaza Strip.

Last Friday, the anti-Israel group publicly expressed its gratitude on the internet for the significant support. “Friends like Greta Thunberg make it possible for us to persevere and fight, even though the German-speaking world criminalizes and defames us, but people around the world stand with us.” After the Hamas attack in October, a now-deleted Instagram post made it clear what “Handala Leipzig” actually means: supporters called for the state of Israel to be shut down using a cartoon image of a paraglider. It is true that Hamas terrorists also attacked innocent Israelis from the air.

It is obvious that Greta often stands on the street with a poster for Palestine and agitates against Israel. She also calls for all supporters of the Israelis to be “held accountable”.

In contrast, Greta remained silent for a long time after Hamas attacked Israel on October 7, killing 1200 people and taking over 200 hostages. She is not demonstrating on behalf of the hostages. After singer Loreen won the previous year’s competition in Liverpool with the song “Tattoo”, the 68th ESC is held in Sweden. In December, the EBU published a list of 37 radio stations, including KAN from Israel.
